Kill Time Stories

Boring la....

Most of the time here, I was killing off my arse's cells by gluing it on a hard wooden chair. Bad choice I know. But there is seriously nothing I can do about. Most of my friends just went "poofed". I can't play football. And I am demoted to this particular chair most of the time. Boohoohoo.

And so I begin my series and movies killing spree.

Starting the list is the notorious Prison Break Season 3

Intertitle of PB S3. Looking through the fence is Penitenciaria Federal de Sona.

Season 3 started off where the oh-so-draggy Season 2 left off. And the tinkerman Scofield is once again in prison, albeit a worse one. In Sona, it is a very merdeka place, meaning that it is self-governed by the thugs inside there, which at the very top of the hierachy is usually the Tai Lou, or the Boss. And it makes Season 1's Fox River looks like a 5-star hotel practically. As the name title suggested, Scofield is once again trying to break the prison. Guess they need to have a Guinness World Record for Most Prison Breaks for One Man to honour his achievement. With a not-so-new theme (breaking the prison, duh), new characters (Susan the Company Girl is hot!) and a slightly new theme song (more Latin-ish), I am not expecting something as draggy as Season 2.

Next on the list is the highly anticipated Heroes, in Season 2.

Wah..another eclipse?

Apparently, Sylar is not dead. Whatsmore, he's been promoted to the main cast. Guess evil people don't die so fast eh? So is Claire Bennett, or Petrelli, or recently-being-named Butler. No matter what her surname is now, glad she is still alive. XD. Apart from that, everybody else is suddenly getting busy four months after the major event in Season One. *Spoilers ahead* Nathan is busy getting drunk. Hiro is busy getting irritating. Noah and Claire are busy hiding. Kaito is busy getting killed. Matt Hear-Me-Out is busy getting promotion and Peter is busy getting naked. *spoilers ended here*. So get busy watching Heroes.

Meanwhile, I am anticipating for series such as 24, House, Bones and Supernatural. I needed those dose. Somebody offer me those please.

Apart from series, movies are also part of my life now. As a Malaysian, I have to expect that a whole damn bunch of movies are i)not going to land here anytime soon due to the national censorship's violence-boleh, kissing-a-big-no-no policy ii) going to show, but I am impatient and iii)already having trailers here, but seem to not to be shown anytime. But thanks to the Internet (you know where la to download), we are able to get those stuffs that are prohibited or heavily censored here.

Cashback is one that falls in category i). Personally, I think it is a nice love story with daring appearance of nudity here and there but not everywhere in the movie. But hey, it is nothing near to porn. Plus, it is a story about a painter. So the naked scenes can be the excuse/reason/inspiration as a form of art.

Apart from that, I recommended 1408, Sunshine, and Reign Over Me. 1408's a thriller which is horrific at the same time, Sunshine's a science fiction which is horrific at the same time, Reign Over Me's a drama which is not-at-all-horrific at the same time. But, what they share, personally, is their good plot and flowing storyline. So they are worth watching if you are stuck in your pitiful chair.

Of Special One and Footie

The hype of football this week is of course the dismissal of the "Special One". Jose Mourinho is special in many ways, not only of his tactical superiority on the field, but also his cockiness while having press conferences. To non-Chelsea supporters, he is the "Arrogant One".

The former "Special One", now the "Dismissed Through Mutual Consent One"

Off the pitch, his brawl with owner Roman had already hinted his fate. Though with talent, politics still played an important role on his departure, added by the excuse of the recent "disappointing" results. And now, Chelsea will be under the vulture-face unknown and uncredited Avram Grant, who lost to Man U on his first charge of the game. Predictable anyway, given that the they lost their Special One. Jose must be laughing his ass out on his heir.

Elsewhere, Liverpool show that their same old demeanor, with yet another boring draw. Somehow they think that they can claim glory by keeping their goal clean, instead of winning the game. Arsenal made their priorities right, with five goals overpowering doomed Derby, and adding the icing above their cake, their players are so young that their average age is well below 25, with the oldest player aging only 27, on that particular day. And I know that my cousin brother is smiling all the way.

Young and talented.

Abroad, Barcelona show why they are a talented bunch with victories over Lyon and Sevilla. Arch rival Real Madrid looses tempo with draw over promoted Valladolid. In Italy, all is peaceful as draws are the results for the top-teams.

Lastly, a farewell, once again, to Jose. Will miss your exaggerated quotes.

AD

Stands for Advanced Diploma. And it ain't easy.

Having five subjects is already tough by standards. And be it a coincidence, it has to be us, the 07/08 badge to be the historically first ever group to have English for Management in Advanced Diploma Level. Prior to this, we are already the first-ever for many things. First-ever to take PTS. First-ever to have Science in UPSR. First-ever to have crappy Literatures in PMR. First-Ever to have our SPM format nipped and tucked. And now this....Guess I (and many more others) are the world's finest guinea piggies to be tested at.

And now, my course got 6 subs to tackle with. And what makes me pig-dicked is of course the English subject. Who the hell still thinks that learning ABC is still needed in Advanced Diploma?

Two things I hated English in TARC is one..they are absolutely a waste of time, energy and money. EMSD had to admit that they do not provide quality English teachers with interesting topics for the subjects, which leads to the second reason....they have the tendency to set the standards so friggin' high, that people in the range of B is the majority. What? TARC students are really that bad huh? Do note I have friends who scored A1 in 1119 English and English being their primary speaking language getting B. Beyond imagination.

Enough rantings there. Subs that I had are Cognitive Psych., Politics and the Media, Theories of Personality, Research Methods in Behavioral Science (or whatever), useless English for Management and Pendidikan Moral (another dumbass subject).

Cog. Psy.
Its the usual lecturer with calibre (Miss Aggy Hooi), so it is interesting and informative as usual. Nothing special here. Just that psychology has become very abstract here, which is a lil' bit hard to do catch up if missed classes.

Politics and Media
Not of our field. And definitely a sucker, if not armed with background knowledge of Malaysian politics (shout out to the girls in my class, XD). It wasn't that bad, and it opens up your eye to the dirtiest place in Malaysia( and any part of the world).

Theories of Personality
Complicated and complex subject with a weirdo lecturer, with respect. "It is always advisable to be nice to first time lecturers, and not to expect too much from them" is the advice that we are suppose to go by. But by the end of the day, we made evaluations no matter how, and pitifully she was to be awarded the worst lecturer we got so far. Round of applause please. Claimed to have done public speaking and is supervisor-phobic ("Please stay in the class room, I know that we still got 30 minutes left, but if I let you guys go, the supervisor will know." Little did she know of stuff called evaluation forms.), got heart-attack when asked relevant but difficult questions and beats around the bush all the time. Overall, a subject doomed.

Research Methods.
As usual, statistics, reliability, validity, experiment, bias and charts comes to mind.

English for Management (see above comment)

Moral dan Etika
Pointless subject, but amazingly with a good lecturer.

Result wise, getting 3.5 will be priceless.

Graduation

I'm awake, I'm awake....after all these centuries...I am with an internet connection which is private enough and with a helluva time to bother with, albeit at home back at Penang.

The line that I registered 3 months back at KL? No sign o those bloody suckmyx mother f*ckers putting an effort to call me for installation....

Anyway, it is nice to be back in the rather chilling comfy sit back at home shweet home... its raining almost continuously out there and I have no plans to remove my stuck arse out of my chair....so here I am ready to blah blah blah about my dull boring life during the past, say, 3 months....
