The education world in Malaysia is becoming, albeit at an alarming speed, worrying.
Take this for instance…..
Have you ever come across people who go nationwide on radio to plead/beg desperately to do your assignment for them?
Apparently, this is what happened today on Fly.fm on my way to work.
They got this program call Fix It with the morning crew and a girl e-mailed and wanted her problem fixed.
Her problem? (roughly)
“I got assignments and I cant finish it……I ask one of my coursemate to do some for me for a fee but she refused. She did the assignment for my other coursemates and even my boyfriend but not me. Please can you call her and ask whether she can do this for me?”
She was whining and moaning and complaining all the way. Complaining that there soo many of the assignments lah, her bf got the service but not her lah, its unfair lah, blah blah….
My reaction? (mind the language here)
WTF? ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS? YOU WANT PEOPLE TO DO YOUR FUCKING HOMEWORK FOR YOU?! AND YOU ARE FUCKING BEGGING IT ON NATIONAL RADIO?!
I bet that the morning crew felt the same way…but since it is the “Fix It” show and its on national radio and they have to be professional, they called the one that does not want to give the service anyway.
And the bitch who begged just go whining and begging and complaining all over again.
The verdict is, thank god, that the morning crew can’t (rather: its Do Not Want To) fix it.
I was still going WTF on the issue for the next 10 minutes.
It is no doubt an open secret that these things happen. People pay others to do their assignments and all those plagiarism stuff. But this is sure on the next level. Pleading on national radio. ZOMG.
No wonder our education system is all so farked up. No wonder our university rankings are in free-falling mode. No wonder there are so many graduates who can’t even do a single thing right after they graduate. I seriously want to see the Education Minister’s face if he was listening to this.
As one of the SMS-es send into the station put it, “I knew that there is outsourcing in the work environment, but I never knew they can outsource homework too.
Frankly, I’m still feeling disgusted with the bee-yatch that goes national on this.
