Going Pokai

I am really slow to see that coming, but it has been friggin 1 month that my money is go going gone fast and furiously. And to think that I just realized that, I do need salvation army financial version, and that first thing come to mind is... er... dad. Too bad he doesn't read my blog. Crap.

As I was putting the links together in the steps of destruction to my precious account, output was in mad pace. At first, it was my cam gone awry with a bruise on the screen, then my contact lenses solution. And then have to go back KL, which means after 3 months of absence, there are dozens and tons of things to pack up in order to survive (TV series Survivor is total crap for me in this context).

Then, my car bat gone. Then I bought a fuckingdamnexpensive moisturizer that I thought was like RM10 and without looking at the price, just grab. It is 3X that price. Niamah. Showed how noob I am in facial stuff.

And then, there is the indulgence in food and going places. Petrol and rice is the modern Depression Era stuff, and most of my activities involved them. Now, don't tell me to be thrifty on food expenses. Been there, done that. Stopped by at most 5 days. Fail miserably. Gah.

And then, the new sems starts, which comes all the books and college fees. Fark.

And now, just 5 minutes ago, my specs go huan heng, and spoiled. Longer fark.

I think I need financial management, consult and advice is welcomed. And so is the spiritual aunty-like belief that bad financial luck would go away sort of thing.

Now, come to think of it, I am glad my dad doesn't read my blog. Or does he?

Bon Voyage Cynthia

As usual, the pics are hard to come by. So, while waiting, I will go into the other event that also involved pics that hard to come by too.

This was a farewell event for Cynthia, our beloved friend that is going to Liverpool, England for further studies. Luna Bar was the preferred choice.

Going to Luna Bar is simple. Going up Luna Bar is sort of complicated if you don't get reference from websites. Basically, it was well-known for its breezy and relaxing atmosphere, located on the rooftop of Pacific Regency, with great night views and bizarre names (try ordering the Blow Job, you won't get the literal one) for their drinks. It wasn't breezy and relaxing as advertised that day tho, with definitely no hint of wind and techno music all night long.

Too bad we didn't had a nice cam with us. The best we can come up with is Lydia's SE W200i. I'll let the pics do the talking...

As of the publish date of this post, I would like to say, Bon Voyage, Cyn. We will miss you....and don't..panic.

Savouring Penang

I was talking to Denise about how Penang was sorta dead and I want to return to KL asap the other day, and I guess I want to take that back now. In fact, the four short days here was much more meaningful than the three long months that I spent working here.

Day one was rather bored, hence the sorta-dead conversation. It was some quality time with parents and sis and also my pet dog Murphy. Nothing out of routine.

Day two was rather a day that I wander Penang alone. After dropping sis to work, I went to Paradise Hotel private beach at Batu Ferringhi, which was a thing I sort of embraced 6 months ago. There was nobody there, and under the inviting morning sun and the ever calming waves, I sat at the soft silky sand, sometimes staring at the horizon and sometimes closing my eyes to hear the waves emerging and going, as if taking my troubles away with them by sweeps. Throughout the years I lived in the island, I took the beaches for granted. Appreciation always come when you are missing it at some point.

It was nearly lunch time before I left. I decided not to have lunch and visited several temples, which I seldom go alone. Later, a visit to the Buddhist temple at Kampar Road was much needed as I missed to come here on Wesak Day for the second time in a row. After making some offerings, I had a brief meditation inside the shrine where the Lying Buddha..er...lies. Another of my calming therapy. I felt very calm now, heh.

Day three was an ambassador-role sort of day, where I accompanied Lydia and her Taiping/KL friends to Batu Lanchang for lunch and also Gurney Plaza, which obviously they don't need much guidance there. I left to fetch my sis while Thomas hanged out with his old buddies. At night, a dinner with close relatives much summed up the day.

Speaking of old buddies, day four was where all gatherings and reunions are organized. I will reserve the next post for this day. With pics, I hoped.

The art was so cool, that it was love at first sight. I don't know about the rest of the page...but...the art was so so cool. Sounds gay, but what the hell. It's time to change anyway. The previous one is a lil'bit dull now. Hope you guys like it.

Out of Routine Pt. 2

Part 2 ain't going to be with lots of photo, partly we are already tired, and partly there was nothing interesting to take anymore.. So, its just some brief walk through from part 1. They say sequels are not as good as the original, don't they? I will make that point here then.

Packing up for the next destination.

We headed for Seremban town area for lunch. One thing worth mentioning is that even within the usual lunch break time, the town area was still moving at a very slow pace. Car driving slowly, people walk in slumber mode, no frantic horns and car park was easy to find. Even the chicken rice lady took 15 minutes to serve us. That is the only crappy part as we were starving.

As it was still early, we decided, albeit impulsively, to head to Port Dickson. It was another 30 minutes south and the challenging part is none of us was really sure how to get there. So we decided to follow the road signs.

After half an hour drive, PD town area was, thank goodness, within sight.

Map of PD.

We went resort-hopping and intruded private beaches. Most of them were basically dead as it wasn't the holiday season. The beach were like places that gone into seclusion due to epidemic virus. That is until Jan told me that these weren't the exact beaches that provides the fun. Shoulda say earlier la.

We drove further down (or up, I'm lost with the direction part). And we came to the real PD. Sort of. It was like the ones that is in Penang, with people sunbathing, jet-skiing and banana-boating. One thing that is different is the quality of the sand. It was much more smoother and compact compared to the ones in Penang. As I said, too bad, there ain't no pictures for that.

PD, with traits similar to ones in Gurney Drive, Pg.

Catching the sun.

Just to prove that we are in PD....

We decided to call it a day.... Or maybe not. Half way through the North-South Expressway, we detoured to Kajang for their famous satay.

The famous satay place.

It was slightly over rated as I don't see or taste something special about it. Nevertheless, it ain't bad and there was nothing to complain about.

As for the decided-to-call-the-day part? That is now.

Out of Routine Pt. 1

The best trips are always unplanned. At least, that is what I have learned in these few good years in college.

Stoning over Teh O'Ais-es, we came up with an idea to visit Vince's hometown, Jelebu. 3 hours later, we are on the way for an impromptu trip to Negeri Sembilan.

It was my first trip to the state as I can't think of a reason to visit, until now. At 7.30am, we took off, heading out to Jalan Bunga Raya exit of MRR2 to Little Genting and then through the trunk road heading towards the Kuala Kelawang. The serenity through all those hill roads are the nicest thing to serve as a calming effect to the hectic life in KL.

The point here is..you can do whatever you want and not get hit by a car....

...or at least that is what they say. Hehee.

On the way through hills.

Civilization 500m ahead.

We reached Jeram Toi around 10am. More info about Jeram Toi, click here.

The fun begins here....

It took a lot of timing training before we can take such pics.

After a two hour refreshing-natural-spa-type treatment, it is time to work our stomach.

To be continued......

Mom's Day

First of all of course..to my mom....Happy Mother's Day.
Tho I know it ain't easy for you to click all the way through all those difficult buttons just to see me wishing you here. But if you happened to drop by..here's a short sincere message for you.

It is my first mother's day that I can't spend with you. We'll celebrate a belated one tho when I come back next week.

Hope you received the ring that both me and sis had bought for you.

Somehow, I felt by not being at your side, ironically, Mom's Day felt more meaningful. I contemplate on what you've contributed to my life and smiled proudly at what you had give me. Although I hated your frequent bugging and nagging (I still do..heh), you always had a place in my heart. Hurtful it may seems that I tend to ignore and brush off what you said, I had always know what you meant. It had always seems ridiculous when you blurted out, but it somehow always make sense after that.

All in all, I love you, mom. And I'm missing you here.

Light Up

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

Slower slower
We don't have time for that
All I want is to find an easier way
To get out of our little heads

Have heart my dear
We're bound to be afraid
Even if it's just for a few days
Making up for all this mess

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Tribute to Torro

Boys are in awe of his footie skills. Girls in awe of his cute innocent kiddy face.

In all, Fernando Torres is simply sensational. 30 plus goals in first season of the English game, 17 goals out of 18 matches, 8 consecutive home matches in scoring goals..blahblah. Do the math.

El Nino, literally "The Kid".

Liverpool got him for 23 mil pounds, which many fans, including me, doubted that he was overvalued. 12 months later, the 23 mil has been paid back with his swift adaptability in EPL.
Go you-tubing around for his performance and goals and you will know how to spell "Sensational".

As a Red, I pay my tribute to the entertainment that Torres had given us something to be proud of in the goal scoring charts that had been absent in the past few season. If this continues, Cristiano "the Oscar Winner for Best Actor" Ronaldo can stump his feet, whine like a baby and pee in his pants for acting childish and thought he can lansi around with his leg-tangling skills. Mind you, he got skills but being professional is another matter. Ask Torres how he did it.

Cristiano who?

Current Addiction

With the workload finally off, it is time to indulge before going into an expected hectic college life.
Therefore, going addict in something will definitely convincingly not going to hurt when studies start, right? Right?

TV Series Category:

Watched it sparingly back in the days when I was still in secondary. Now, I just want to own it. 5 seasons to catch up sure is a long way. Everything rocks about it. The characters (their forensic specialist is a goth figure who sleeps in coffins, how cool is that?), the spontaneous dead-pan humour and the oh-so-addictive theme song. It is a death penalty if my hands are not on it.

Games category:

Prior to the sequel, it is best to rediscover the classic. Ever since discovering the launching of SC2, I can't help but to kick ass again.
