The Week That Was

The past week had been an assiduous one. In fact, my chair was surprisingly chilly most of the time. Several window shopping sessions, work, Rasta-ing, cheng beng and oh, Genting.

Never had been that busy before. Busy enjoying myself that is. Exclude the work part.

I welcome random almost non-financial trips to any town in Malaysia.

And oh, next stop, Pork Burger. XD

Signs

There are so many movies that I want to watch. Yet I suspect my attention span had lessen dramatically that I rather endorsed in 40 minutes series than an average 2 hour movie. Back then, I am able to do a 3 movie marathon. In addition, I think my brain cell has deteriorated and ceased to work properly, thus it further discounted those movies which need a little bit of thinking.

In short, I lazy to watch movie.

My intelligence might had evaporated so fast I think Dragonball Evolution is amusing.

Then again, it might be that I had low expectation for the movie, so that might explain the amusing part. But that's not the point.

A warning sign perhaps. I need to jump start my brain before it is categorized "send to grind machine" in the UK.

Great Things to Come?

A magnificent week capped by hammering two traditionally and historically great clubs in the world sure do make a turn for the better for a club that seems to be in a plunge towards chaos.

Just two weeks ago, everything is quite in disarray for Liverpool Football Club. On the field, the players seems to be a frustrating bunch that might be suspected that they played rugby instead of football. 10 points behind leaders and main rivals, the optimism of lifting the EPL trophy after 19 years seems to fade away. Off the field, the manager refuse to sign a new contract. They sacked the Chief Executive. The owners are not in good terms. In short, everything was so not in place.

Benitez has been frustrating Liverpool fans for his refusal to sign a new contract, igniting worries for the club's future plans.

After a tantalizing and bullish week of superb football, the feng shui turns. The team is in high spirits. The gap between the leaders is now 4 points. Benitez finally willing to sign a new five-year contract and as bonus, installed with a 30 million warchest to spend on players next season. The Yankee owners are, in real American Hollywood style, patching up (again). And to add the icing to the cake, Gerrard is dropped from the assault charges.

Stevie G appearing in court where his assault charges are dropped.

It sure looks like a turnaround. So a comeback and most importantly, trophies perhaps? We are waiting on the sidelines.

Pickpocket vs Terrorist

While waiting for the LRT to come, the speaker announces a this-is-a-community-message-style-of-advice to fellow passengers to be careful of pickpockets in the LRT.

Which reminds me of Singapore's MRTs. You know what they do in Singapore? They tell you to look out for suspicious person and suspicious belongings in the MRT. They even have TV ads to show you how to. A basic drill on counter-terrorism.

Such is the magnitude of differences for two countries separated by a straight.

There and Back Again

A train of thoughts went through the mind while in a long er....train journey home. So I've decided. I will digress. Yet another in the river. Yet another meant-to-be-like-that scenario. I think I was pretty exhausted by now. I decided to relief myself from the self-imposed emotional baggage. I was pretty sure I made my last best effort. Ironically, I was pleased that I tried.

And gratitude to those who hear me out, once again.

The Twist of Fate

I suppose I can't help myself but to type this post in CAPS letter.

MAN U 1 LIVERPOOL 4!

Wtf!

To score 4 is already an achievement. But then, THIS IS MAN U we are talking about. THIS IS OUR FIERCEST RIVAL! THIS WAS AT OLD TRAFFORD! THIS IS EFFING AWESOME!

When Ronaldo scored the penalty, Liverpool, logically can kiss the title goodbye.

But in football, they say, everything is possible.

So, 5 minutes later, Torres poked in the what should be the opening gates of hell for ManU kind of goal. And then the massacre begins.

El Nino salutes....

Then the redemption. A penalty goal from Gerrard

He was that happy....

It is the second half that sends the adrenaline pumping. Liverpool are known for their nervousness and Man U for their comebacks.

That is until Vidic decided to just help me relief some pressure by pulling down Gerrard and got the marching order.

Taking maximum advantage of a disheartened and disarrayed MU team, Aurelio poked in a free kick. 3-1.

Then Dossena was sent in and in his second super-sub style cameo of this week, he totally and effectively killed off the game with a simple long range missile. Should have look at how van der Sar got rooted on the ground for that.

Fabulous Aurelio thanks god while pathetic Scholes figuring what the hell happened.

The most unlikely form of a scorer, even Dossena (L) himself can't believe his luck.

The very angry kid from Merseyside that "hates Liverpool" after the 4-1 demoliton.

In recent decades, it is an ultimately rare situation to see The Reds back-to-back victories against The Devils. However, for this moment, we fans will appreciate the showdown that the team had provided. And for once, spare us for the lansi-ness, dear MU fans. You guys can keep your ManU jerseys in the cupboard for a while now. Hope by the end of the season, the title will be at Anfield for once.

You will never walk alone.

Green Light

Omgwtfkns...I passed.

The usual paranoia symptoms emerged as I checked it out at 0845, preparing to rape the F5 key until I get what I want. There was no need. It came out on the first attempt. I stunned. Took a few seconds to register everything in and .....phew.

Now all eyes on UK.

P/S: I promise my dad (and myself) that I shall redeem myself in UK. For I sucked big time for some of the latest results.

Update

This is what I am up to since going back to KL:

The rotting begins. Most of the time, I am like a fungus who had sprouted and rooted verdantly on one spot. Eyes focus on the modern day idiot box.

There are some coaxing some 400 kilometres from here to at least find a job. Not that I don't, its just hard work to find work, you know?

It is so routine, the wake-up session (now it is a session, as it took a whole loads of time), the coffee/milo brewing....and then the all-new meditation with my beloved lappie. Occasional walking for food hunting and toilet. And that's that. Hack, I even lost count of the days passed my by.,.

Until that weekend. A wholly awesome weekend that was. The BBQ, the beer conferance, the mindf*ck session, the laughter, the craziness and most importantly the gathering. Not forgetting too....the otak-otak. Heh.

Once the KMG. Forever the KMG.

And then I received a call for a job. Yay. Finally. The pressure cools off abit. At the same day, I picked up two more job offers from the same company. Just different tasks. Seems desperate. Looked that way, yes?. These are indeed desperate times.

Tomorrow, I am Penang bound for 4 days. And the week after will be another busy week.

As for now, SinEu out.
