Do You Love Penang?

That question was placed upon me.

The instant answer for this question is of course: "Duh."

But that question keeps me thinking. I mean, why yes?

Is it the food, the traffic, the people or just the place? Or is it just blind loyalty? Reverse question: What I don't like about Penang? Hmmm....

Seriously, none. I really love Penang.

Its not fair to compare KL to Penang. Yet, we got cheap food. First thing that came to mind. I mean RM2.20 for Wan Tan Mee, people (RM4 in PJ).

Traffic is not that bad, although the road surface is as shitty as KL's. Judging by the amount of traffic reports on radio, you know its going to suck driving in the KL buzz.

I got people from other busier places telling me that Penang is so much relaxing. I can't really see the difference back then, even when I am in KL for studies. Note studies and work. Really two huge difference in comparing environment and atmosphere. There is the relaxing factor here. Everything here is slower in pace (except for the cars on the road, uncivilized is a better word though). Of course depending on confounding factors, things here are less hectic and frantic.

Come mid-year next year, I would be back to where I belong (hopefully). Having said so, I think its hard to leave a city that provide me the character, opportunity and endless valuable experience in my life. Not to forget the people that I have call the best of amigos.
