To actually dedicate my centurion post to a hiatus was absolutely degradable.
But due to the circumstances, this is waht it is gonna be.
And that is thanks to the fucked-up TM management and its useless system. I DO actually wanted to bomb-up the non sensible booths that is everywhere outside the college.
Anyways, some updates....
-In Advance Dip. now. Psychology.
-Got my first C grade for diploma. An idiotic subject. Makes no sense. And that probably cost my chances for a scholarship. Pig dicked.
-Graduate with distinction. XD. Parents forced me to go for convo. =.=
-Living in Plaza Prima Setapak now. Nice place.
-Miss hostel. Not really the place. But the people there.
-Have not touched down in KLCC or any other shopping malls for the past 2 months. Pathetic I know.
-Ate more than ever. Suspecting second season of puberty.
-Thinking of Penang.
-Still single. *shakes head*
To sit in the CC and update a blog was not the sanest thing to do. Thus, the hiatus.
Will have to wait for the Suckmyx to come.

Final Score
Being the loosing side, its hard to compose this post...
While stronger than the 2005 squad, Liverpool still can't get past a bunch of old nasty looking mafias of Milan. It does make you question whether they are using the right tactics against a side who has now claimed its 7th European Cup.

The bunch of mafias....don't they look like one?
Alrite, alrite. From a neutral perspective, they did deserve to win, simply because they are the better team on the pitch. Defence are good, Gattuso snarling as usual, Kaka (the only bloke that does not fit in the Mafia-lookalikes team) creating beautiful chances and most important of all, Inzaghi scoring the goals, both. You look at it, and it seems to be a pretty organized team, which explains the cup.
As for Liverpool, sweeping some of the ineffective players and bringing new effective ones are essential if they want to win anything next season.
Till then, its summer hols for footie.

Aye, Captain!
Yohoho....Pirates are back..and after watching all the trailers, it sure consist a big bunch of them.
Pirates lords they called, and their crews. And of course, the Captain is back. Aye!

Spooky Jack Sparrow...
This time around, as the story goes, Barbossa is going to save Sparrow, with lovebirds Swan and Turner getting cheesy once again on screen. Beckett and Davy Jones wants to eliminate the pirates through East India Trading Company. Sparrow and Barbossa gather all the king's men..sorry..pirates from the seven seas to counter back. Simple huh, the plot? Maybe. Will see.
And here we go again....another summer of sequels. Next, we have Shrek 3. Then, Harry Potter. Then, Mr. Bourne. Then, Rush Hour 3. Also starring Spidey 3....guess Hollywood ran out of ideas, but nevertheless, will enjoy it.
__________________________________________________________________
And speaking of captains, two of them will lead their teams into The European Champions League Final in Athens. Gerrard and Maldini preparing their team for a showdown since the miraculous final in Istanbul 2 years ago.
Milan wants revenge. Liverpool wants another miracle. It is setting up so nicely. Two of the most prestigious clubs battling, yet again in 2 years, for glory.

Another miracle? Or vengeance? Can't wait.
And as a Reds fan, I would say....Go grab the cup and shut Gattusso's mouth once and for all.

Dislocated
Just as I was going to execute my plan for a fit holiday. It came to a halt....

......with this.
And a big halt it is.
A dislocated knee. Hah!
It just took a split second. A sprint with the ball and a supposed-to-be-deceiving act of changing the direction was all it took to got my knee into the above condition. Guess the receptors were slow there.

When analyzing the scenario after that (which you don't do when you are in immense pain during that moment), the ankle seems to play a bit-part role in causing the dislocation. Note that the ankle and the knee is linked through
...and according to the pic, it does makes sense that both the knee and the ankle signed a deal to make my hols miserable.
I went for bone-setting by this Si-fu who had been essential in treating all my previous fractures (its called tie ta in Mandarin). It was a painful process. Least to say, it was torturous. The sifu just push to my limits where I can't really bent my already cacat-ed knees. In the end, I was left panting for breath and struggling to sense my leg.
And its all just because of a sprint and a change of direction, or was it misdirection?
Currently, I am able to walk, or rather, limp. Without crutches but with all those guards that you can find in Guardian. I felt so overly-protected.
Then again, for the sake of being able to walk properly again, I would do anything.
And I am considering "retirement" from football.

Heroes
It's just amazing to think that a certain series that based it's theme on something that has been through ages can provide such an addictive dose in our lives.
Heroes...ain't that simple enough for a title? Dozens of movies, songs, music and TV shows had the equivalent name. And it shared similar theme with other shows such as X-Men and Mutant X. Having said that, the question is..why the series is causing an euphoria throughout the world?

Title card of Heroes.
It's a special series becauseit has Hayden Panettiere in it the story is in arcs (overall and small), which involves ordinary people discovering amazing abilities and their reaction to it....
.....aiya, does that make sense?
Actually, the show's addictive because at the end of every episode it shows the phrase "To Be Continued..." and you will be like, "Oi, wtf? Finish d ah? 45 minutes d meh?"

Ordinary people with amazing abilities....more like
Beautiful people with I-so-want-that-power-too abilites
I was skeptical when my friend introduce me the series like, "Dude, you watch "heroes"? You want ah?"
"Huh? Nice meh? Is it another show with superheroes flying around with weird, body-hugging, panties-outside costumes?"
" You just watch la. Nah, all inside this DVD.."
Since then, my world is so changed....

Hayden as Claire....I like. XD
And to think that I am just less than one week away from the season finale with the previous episode's cliffhanger and various previews and sneak peaks and teasers reminding me almost every moment, its torturous.
Just so that you haven't been catching up, I strongly recommended this series. Its so gonna hook you up, promised.

Please watch us show our abilities!

Naili's
The moment stepping inside this place, I knew I am going to love this place. It isn't some typical warung, though their origin was one. It might looked like a rundown place if you do not really sending your visual sensation into your perception, but if you really focus, you know this a place that is not something simple.

The entrance
According to legend, it was originally a stall owned by two people selling nasi lemak and ubi rebus. Seven years on, they already have a restaurant so nicely decorated and furnished that you don't really can't imagine how their stall looked like 7 years ago.
Today, apart from the original stuff, they offered both Eastern and Western cuisines. Ranging from nasi gorengs to koey teows and to Fish N' Chips, it was amazing to think the achievement they worked for.

A blurred image of a sampan right inside the place.

The kampung-ish setting of seatings.
The whole place is practically kampung and beach themed. The wooden pondoks, bamboos (?), sampan's, surfing boards, carving arts. It gives a pleasurable and serene type of atmosphere for everyone dining there, in addition to soothing music of course.
As for the food, I haven't tried much, but would say that their food are crave-fulfilling. Not really heaven-like, just manageable to suit its atmosphere.

Western or Local
It was a promising place for yam cha session, only that to maintain such "wealthy lifestyle" is a suicide attempt in finance management.
Verdict:
Worth trying out.
Food: Can eat la.
Atmosphere & Settings: Top notch
Serving time: Not in the Tortoise speed category.
Price: walan yea expensive....for a student like me that is.

Twenty
Its almost ten thousand years ago since I update the blog. And gosh, I've passed so many milestones during my absence.
For instance, my birthday almost one month ago.
And now...I am no teen anymore.
No big deal here. It's just age. Something that we will not loose, unlike money. In fact, it will just add, instead of deduct.
And here comes 20, they say. Old liao lo, no more teen liao lo, one more year can go Genting casino liao lo, one more year can go in Zouk liao lo.....yada...
Honestly, not into those stuff.
Anyway, I would like to thank my coursemates and hostelmates and any other friends and relatives for reminding how old I am already. The two cakes that I got was incredibly delicious. And thanks for the multi-lingual b'day songs that probably rung in my head the whole night after hearing it for 3 hours per day.
And my b'day wish? Secret la, tak boleh tell.
In fact, I was so busy swinging from mamaks to cafes that I forgot to note such memories in my camera. So no pics here. Just appreciations. 'Nuf I guess.
Will definitely update blogs often from now....if I am motivated enough.
Promise that.

Present
Hectic schedule for 3rd sem almost condemned this blog. Thank god some sub-conscious memory reminded me that. And speaking of which....
Prior to my birthday, I got my earliest present possible. A far far away one. From Liverpool actually.
And their present is....
A 4-1 demolishing of Arsenal. How sweet.
Not that I have any grudge on them. But considering the fact that they had beaten Liv for 3 successive games this season, the fight back is definitely needed. And Liverpool just found the right time to proceed with it.
I was skeptical at first to go for the live telecast, considered the fact that my previous 2 visits were disasters. Anyhow, I made it to BRJ. 5 minutes gone, and the first goal was in. Oh, well. Not that I was being un-supportive, but usually, Liverpool got this trend against big clubs that when they scored early, they lost.

The celebration begins since 5 minutes to the game.
That wasn't the case today. Bless them.
By 35 minutes, the second goal went in. Now that's rare, but I am beginning to enjoy it.
Arsenal tried to hit back and they did. But the moment they hit the bar twice in 10 minutes, I knew that today will not be their day.

The second goal.
The third goal went in and I was thrilled. Hands up high.

The third goal
Arsenal got a consolation goal before Crouch completed his hat-trick to make it four- one.
Now thats football. XD

The fourth and final goal.

The feel good factor.
And that is the perfect gift for my birthday. For now.
So if u guys got a whole lot better present for me, don't be shy to drop by. Hint hint.
Heh.

Right
" So, u guys wanna watch movies now?"
"Er..No!"
"Nah...jz watching episodes..."
"Oh ok....I'm coming!"

Now, it did sound normal.
Only this time, it ain't a trip to a cinema or theater with someone you prefer to go with.
The world is full of idiots, fools and bastards that don't have the most basic instinct of sensing and perceiving others' most obvious non-verbal behaviour that even a twitch of the mouth that would have probably murdered a nearby cat. In short, they are ignorant.
Of course it wouldn't be a problem if you are the only one who dislike a person to watch episodes or movies or porn with you. The solution is you don't have to. Simple.
But buuutt....
The destination is somewhere that you called it as your home, where you have the right to preserve how it is going to be, who is coming in, where things should be, when people are allowed to step inside. You have the right to prevent god damned intruders forcing themselves into a home without the consent of the rightful owner.
Yes, blame me for the failure of exercising that right. Blame me for being compliant. Blame me for being weak. Blame me for having no courage to speak out my mind.
Then again, most people just take rights for granted. Some abused them. Some overused them.
Whichever side you are in or with, it tells you that rights aren't something easy to deal with. Just picture the scenarios of the people that had been fighting for human rights like since forever and the people who had been compressing them.
Still...
I really would have like to brake a bone or two or maybe the whole fucking structure of the next foolish being that steps into my room without me saying yes. Hear that, bastards!
Out.

Chinese New Year Part 2
I so much want to skip this blog....but thx to my irrationalness and stupidity, I labeled "part one" in the previous blog, and it ain't a custom for me to see something cliff-hanging there. So, what the hell?
Part 2 is mostly about the Ti Kong's b'day, which is a big deal for Hokkien people. It falls on the 9th day of CNY.
.JPG)
This is definitely NOT how TheeKong celebrate b'day.

The actual visual of how it is done.
Lots of stuff was offered. Fruits, kuihs, chicks and ducks(literally, mind you) and occasionally one whole roast pig.
The preparation was long. It took almost the whole evening to set up the stuff. And by midnite, the ritual begins. Praying, burning of hell (or in this case, Jade Emperor's) notes, and of course, feast.

Practically, the ritual is to seek blessings from the Jade Emperor.
As for how the ritual begins and mostly limited to the Hokkien ethnic, read HERE.
Traditionally, my family had always did it at my uncle's house. This time around, according to mom, we did it in our house to have more blessings. Oh well.
As I was busy taking pics, my cam beeped and indicated low batt. =.=///
So I missed the bonfire and all the post-ceremony situations. Darn. Next time around la.
And so here I ended my long breath CNY account. Writing festive blogs are tedious, especially after the mood's gone.

Chinese New Year Part One
It's always sweet to be back in Penang (or wherever ur hometown is) during CNY. I really sympathize friends who had to stay continents away during the festive season. Sooner or later it might happen to me, but for now I am still enjoying it here. Blek!
Anyway, this is how my CNY for the year of the Piggy goes....
Prelude to CNY
Ever since I moved to Kay Lel, holidays before CNY is always dedicated to meeting lau peng yews. There are soo many of them, ur kampung one, ur primary school one, ur secondary school one, ur kindergarten one....
It is when all gatherings is to be held, because people most probably come back for CNYs.

Kel's place. Poor guy departing right before CNY.

Secondary school gathering. No babes allowed! XD
Then of course those small small gatherings, like going-for-movies or jz simply sit-at-on-a-padang-and-kap-siao types.
And not forgetting people who needs to depart from Penang to stuff their brains with tons and tons of knowledge. To you guys I sympathize.

Will miss u guys definitely.
CNY Eve.
Also known as Chu Xi in mandarin. It is time to start gatherings with families.

Dad (in blue) with uncles.
The eve is always about family gathering and eating together. Due to overload of people (my grand dad had 11 kids, imagine that...), we don't do it in Arthur-and-his-knights-of-the-round-table-style. We just scatter all over the house to eat. Well, as long as you are in the house and as long as u can hear others shouting ur name from the kitchen, it is still considered that we gathered, right?
As I mentioned, Chu Xi is about family and food. So there are tons of food here.

All these years, we did steamboat each and every time. It's been the custom for my family like since forever.

One thing good about doing a steamboat is that you can take as many rounds as you want. Jz add in what you craved to eat into the pot for a while later, u can get what u want. One more advantage is that, as my auntie quote, we are a bunch of sharks, we need a helluva lot of food. So, steamboat is of course the best option.
Chinese New Year
The actual day(s) are of course about saying Gong Xi Fa Cai and receiving ang pows. It is always a bonus to have lots of relatives who are already married. More married relatives = more ang pows. Hehe.

Of course it comes with a price. Visiting relatives for me had to be done for 4 to five days. It is exhausting, traveling practically the whole island.
But then again, think ang pows and exhaustion will be gone. XD
To be continued.....

Movie Run
Prior to the Academy Awards (aka Oscars), I made an mild attempt to watch all the films that is nominated for the awards. They call it Oscarian mania. Whatever.
As of 24th February 2007, 12.45pm, I almost made it. Almost.
I made it through only for the Best Motion Picture.

And the Oscars goes to....
Letters of Iwo Jima..or thats what I think. Basically, the tempo's just nice, plot's nice although they are babbling in Kunichiwa-language and admirable scenes.
As for others, Babel's too slow, The Queen's too monotonous, The Departed has too many fucks (I preferred the Cantonese version actually, esp. the casting), Little Miss Sunshine's pretty but I doubt they give awards to dark comedies.
As of other films that worth mentioning that is part of the nominees in other categories. I recommended these:
Its in Spanish, big possibility for Best Foreign Film.
Originality is its selling point.
One of Leo's greatest characters, tho I really like Djimon Hounsou's performance. I always like bring-to-awareness and almost factual movies. Action-packed is its bonus.
Another with a fresh plot. Clive Owen's good here.
(spoiler)
Julian Moore died too fast tho.

Both are about magicians. Both are about jealousy. Both are about the drive of love. Both have a lot of competitions in the film. Both plots twist like roller-coasters. Both are good. Obviously.
Nominated films that I looked forward to:

Oh great...another one jz finishes its download. I jz love the kind and Sharing people out there.
Popcorn's out.
Over.
