Nothing much changed over the years for Chinese New Year, save for angpow crisis becoming worse every year. Then again, it is always the heart-warming feeling that I appreciated all these years, especially since I had moved to KL for studies. Chinese New Year is all about reunions, friends and families, and I am glad I still had the chance to do so.
And starting with CNY Eve, the reunion dinner...

All ready for consumption.

Aunts at feast..

Another reunion spot...TV
Then, comes New Year Day One and Two, where you go to shake your fist and say Happy New Year to everybody and receive angpows for that. It was tiring because there are soo many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, aunt's mother, aunts mother punya mother blah blah blah....that I only see them almost once a year.
And then it is the usual conversations...." Wah, your son big d hoh!!" or "Your daughter pretty d lo!" or "Yours also maa!"......Oh well, courtesy is part of Chinese culture...eventho some pretty cheesy and fake.
Anyways, its glad (and surprising sometimes) to know what your relatives do and they are all well.

Next part....friend-ly activities....
