Cina Baru Year Pt2

Chinese New Year is always the period that you can meet up with most of the friends which are currently scattered/exiled/becoming a refugee all over the world.

Since Day 3 of CNY, friends are making a flood of calls demanding, "Where the heck are you? Want to meet up?". Come to think again and strangely enough, I happened to meet up with friends that I met chronologically, from primary (kindy? I cant even remember anyone of them..) to secondary to college level. Practically, the conversations are pretty much the same, from "What are you doing now ah?" to "Got gf d ah?"...yada yada....

CNY is time of reunion, and reunions are almost synonymously linked to food. So, having gatherings at mamak stores, blood-sucking cafes or BBQ parties are always the norm here. It is no wonder that my "tires" are getting bigger and wider at the moment.

Meeting up and updating our databases once a year is sure a helluva tough job. Not only you have to burn your memory remembering whats, wheres and whos, it also burns your wallet (or pocket). Every damn thing had their prices hiked up and you just wonder where your money's gone so fast by the end of the day. But then again, this is not the main point.

Erhem, as I was saying, CNY is of reunions and gatherings. I am obviously glad that I still had the chance to meet some of them. Then again, they are becoming less and less amount of them coming back to Pg. So, am trying my best to appreciate the moments we have together. So appreciative that I kinda forget to take pictures with them. Bah.
