It is Stamford Bridge, the fortress of the Blues and they come into the game with a 4 year 86 game unbeaten home record. Both are joined leaders at the top and unbeaten before the match. Tough as it is the odds stack against 'Pool, at least they come with belief.
And thus it commenced, a 10th minute lead is all what is needed to acquire the bragging rights as a strong Premier League contender. Xabi Alonso was the hero. Quiet during the Euro 2008 and a transfer target to Juve, he had never cease to prove himself worthy in the Reds lineup.

The early euphoria.
Chelsea had most of the possession, chances and capable players to turn the tide. but 'Pool held on after the lucky deflected shot. Every attempt was thwarted, every shot blocked, mistakes were close to none. It was a nail-biting match, I had to keep talking crap with ZW to reduce adrenaline flow. The final whistle was music to the ears. Liverpool had once again proved superior.

A job well done.
