Random Post Due to Boredom

Almost a year has passed since I tore my anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). As a result, my movements are limited and an intense active lifestyle robbed.

But being the stubborn inpatient impulsive person, I can’t wait for a total recovery and did sport prematurely. You guessed it, time and again, my knee failed to support me and went tumbling down like fatass Humpty Dumpty and suffered pain all over again. Dumbass, you say. Yes, it might be. But I rather choose pain than going senile. Yes, I am a sadist idiot.

During the testing times, I tried to adapt to the newly implied limit. In sports, instead of being the offensive hard line bulldozer, I was obliged to be an unnoticed stealthy silent turtle in games. In daily life, instead of the usually steroid-charged (not literally) aggressor, I learned to diminish the tempo. It is sort of a torment for a need-for-speed guy. But then again, it can be a blessing in disguise. My chance of a cardio arrest is probably lessened.

ACL casualty, Michael Owen, as motivator.
(above) Owen with ACL tear during 2006 Euro
(below) Owen scoring just this weekend for Newcastle.

Lately, I noticed improvements in my movements especially in sports. I felt a sense of contribution to the last few games I played since the occurred injury. But it did not come suddenly. Confidence is like the Roman Empire. They don't suddenly appear.

Combined with the adaptation made during the recovery period, I see a wider dimension and a better reading of my activities. And yeah, I learned my lesson, my friends should be grateful that I can walk with them, not in front them like I once did.

Again, life goes on. And I am blogging this out of office boredom and the Internet line out and with inadequate motivation to work. As if my boss cares.
Eu out.

Two Decades and One Year of Existence

My birthday is on April 2nd. No bullshit. It ain't some April Fool's Joke. According to the legend, I nearly came out as a "fool", but I hold a bit longer (or rather my mom hold a lil bit longer) and here I am, after two decades, writing this crappy blog.

Thought that is bullshit? You shouldn't. Its not a legend, its a fact. And I thank my mom for being so considerate. ^^

21. A milestone that is such a hype. You know, those coming-to-age, free-to-do-thing-anything, right-to-blah-blah-blah stuff. For me, it is just a circle of life we have to go through and being wiser (READ: older) at the same time. Bah, too philosophic. Zzz..

Anyway, it was a rather quiet peaceful celebration both with my family and with my colleagues at work. I was rather surprise with the latter who celebrated with me. Thanks guys.

And speaking of appreciation, here goes to all the people who had (or hadn't because you forgot and realize it was too late and send me a Happy Belated Birthday message, which I will eventually accept lah) send me messages, wishes and blessings. No matter how, you guys played a part in my life and it is what makes me who I am today (this is the part you should grab a tissue and say : "awww").

Ah yes, life goes on. Another of such token-of-appreciation-post next year k?

21 and still going.

Just a Tibetan Food for Thought

To all those who send me the Free Tibet and Support Dalai Lama messages:

I’m sorry to disappoint you. Because I support the Chinese government cause.

Not that I am against human rights or all these things. My personal opinion is that the Dalai Lama is incapable of even protecting his own people and was sort of talking bullshit in the media across the globe, far from his own people who are suffering in Tibet. And I am very sure all these rebellion and riot things are of the American CIA creation. Why not? You see what they can do in films.

All the way, Buddhism is always a peaceful religion. And to see the monks involving in this political chaos is so not according to the Buddhism teaching. Heart-wrenching it is.

And to entitle to a very personal opinion, the current Dalai Lama is just a puppet hooked to the hands of Big Uncle Sam to give trouble to the Chinese government and the Olympic event. He is just simply a disgrace who talks crap and do nothing except drinking tea with any CIA Director in a five-star suite and touring around the globe with his millions that CIA sponsored.

Say Tak Nak To Smoking

Very cliche, but still...

The first thing that you do not need in a moody unmotivated morning is the second-hand smoke from smokers.

Conventionally having a breakfast, I am always gutted with people who smoke around me. Why? Read above.

While I always try to have a nice, secluded spot that keeps me away from them, there is always the glitch that you can’t stop people, especially smokers, to come along and sit at the table near you. Call me suey.

Then, the pack started coming out. The lighter lit. And the smoke parading away. This is where I go tulan.

Adding up to the situation, the guy this morning has a lansi face and was bragging in a loud-speaker voice that tenth-floor office staff can hear. Then came the ultimate break-point part. He blew a puff of smoke on my face.

So, I reactively and unintentionally give him cold hard mean stare. One thing that I do not know is that my stare can turn the roaring smoke-puffing lion into a whining pussy.

Apparently, he felt my rage aura and…well…apologized in the most guilty manner that I have ever seen. Being the ever..erhem…forgiving person, I smiled back. You see, he apologized, I will give him credit for that.

But then, the damage is done. Here in the office, I am ever the zombie-looking worker whose aura can diminish the approachable level of mine within the radius of the office parameter.

Moral of the story, smoking kills. It kills everything, including your mood to work.

They Can Outsource Homework on Radio?!

The education world in Malaysia is becoming, albeit at an alarming speed, worrying.
Take this for instance…..
Have you ever come across people who go nationwide on radio to plead/beg desperately to do your assignment for them?

Apparently, this is what happened today on Fly.fm on my way to work.
They got this program call Fix It with the morning crew and a girl e-mailed and wanted her problem fixed.
Her problem? (roughly)
“I got assignments and I cant finish it……I ask one of my coursemate to do some for me for a fee but she refused. She did the assignment for my other coursemates and even my boyfriend but not me. Please can you call her and ask whether she can do this for me?”

She was whining and moaning and complaining all the way. Complaining that there soo many of the assignments lah, her bf got the service but not her lah, its unfair lah, blah blah….

My reaction? (mind the language here)
WTF? ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS? YOU WANT PEOPLE TO DO YOUR FUCKING HOMEWORK FOR YOU?! AND YOU ARE FUCKING BEGGING IT ON NATIONAL RADIO?!

I bet that the morning crew felt the same way…but since it is the “Fix It” show and its on national radio and they have to be professional, they called the one that does not want to give the service anyway.

And the bitch who begged just go whining and begging and complaining all over again.

The verdict is, thank god, that the morning crew can’t (rather: its Do Not Want To) fix it.

I was still going WTF on the issue for the next 10 minutes.

It is no doubt an open secret that these things happen. People pay others to do their assignments and all those plagiarism stuff. But this is sure on the next level. Pleading on national radio. ZOMG.

No wonder our education system is all so farked up. No wonder our university rankings are in free-falling mode. No wonder there are so many graduates who can’t even do a single thing right after they graduate. I seriously want to see the Education Minister’s face if he was listening to this.

As one of the SMS-es send into the station put it, “I knew that there is outsourcing in the work environment, but I never knew they can outsource homework too.

Frankly, I’m still feeling disgusted with the bee-yatch that goes national on this.

No Country For Drivers

Penang drivers are deservingly credited as the most skillful (READ: ruthless) drivers in Malaysia. Why?

First of all, they face traffic jams like KL people do. You know that no matter how serene your personality is...deep inside, you are probably screaming: "ARRGH! BASTARD! KNN! CCB! MOVE YOUR FARKED ASS! THE IDIOT BEHIND.... YOU'D BETTER STAY WHERE YOU ARE AND DONT TRY TO GIVE ME YOUR SYMPATHETIC FACE SO I CAN LET YOU OVERTAKE ME!"

Second reason, unlike our KL counter-parts, we have to deal with more bikers. Just so you know, if you are the first car queuing for the lights to turn green, you need to wait for the horde of bikers to move on for at least 2 seconds before its your turn. Evading them is probably the most difficult thing on the road. The fear is there. One tiny prick on them, and they spin 360 degrees X2 right in front of you.

Of course not to mention the very kuai lan drivers who simply poke right in front of you out of no where, the lord of the roads (SPELL: Buses and Lorries)sending their give-me-cross-orelse-i-crush-u message and the tons of potholes that murder your car (and stabbing your heart)numerous times all the way.

No wonder we are the best in cursing and the number one victim to heart attacks.

Anyhow, Berhati-hati di jalan raya.

Off the Map

When asked: “ So what are you studying before you come to work here?”
Obvious answer: “Psychology.”

Various responses that I collected so far:

“Psychology? So you come here to read our minds ar?”
“Psychology ah? What can you do in this company ar?”
“Psychology? Thought they are learned by doctors..”
“Er…so they do have this course huh?”

The above the responses just let me go =________=.

Of course there are more “heart-warming” ones, like…

“Wow..that must be interesting!”
“I was previously in psychology too. Guess you are my junior..haha!”

Apparently, psychology seems to be a big thing yet of little relevance to most of them. Oh well, people are learning, including me.

Along The Way

If you are traveling along the North-South Highway (no more under Semi-Value) from Penang to KL, you can see it in this way:

You departed from a DAP state. Crossed Auto City and after 30 minutes of ride, you come to a small section of PAS state. Moving along, you finally reach DAP-PKR state, where you will cross Taiping, Ipoh, maybe Sg. Siput (and start smirking) and Teluk Intan. Till then, it is time to cross over to a PKR state. Travel for another one hour, you will realize that you have reach the very variable multi-opps.-party of Federal Territory. You've reached your destination.

And come to think of it, you don't quite see the word "BN" when you go along south to KL. Hmm...fascinating.

The Sweetness of Victory

The Tsunami of Change. The Moment of Truth. The Power of People. Makkal Sakti. A new leaf. The Fall of Arrogance. The Rude Awakening. The Mission Impossible. Call it whatever you want to call it, but the reality is: BN is gliding down too smoothly.

With a sudden lost of so many seats and states to the opposition party in one night, the tragedy is unbearable and unexpected. In fact, totally unexpected. Just look at their faces in the media, bet they have to wear prosthetic smiles to face the TV screen.

On the other hand, the sudden sweep of victory occurred in several states for the opposition party. Penang, Perak, Kedah, Kelantan and most amazingly Selangor are all under new governments. The people had awaken. They are tired of injustice and arrogance of the over-confident leaders. So confident that the "nominees" are already scrambling for the CM seat, that they forgot they havent gone into election yet. In the end, all they can do is pack their bags and lick their asses' wounds for at least the coming four years.

19 out of 19. Never is such victory expected in the ever combating and determined party of DAP. Fighting for a change, they swept and left absolutely nothing for their opponents. The people of Penang had spoken. In the new dawn, DAP will lead two (!) states. A new, fresh and significant page in History.

The moral of the story here is...When your nose is pointing too high up into the sky, you cannot see what is under your nose (Read: Arrogance).

The people has spoken. A new era has come.

Just Change EP2

“What do you really want?”
“Prosperity, job prospects, peace and harmony.”

“We don’t have to fight for unity and freedom, because we already had it.”

“Vote for Malaysia. Vote for BN.”

The moment the radio or the TV comes up with the starting word of all the above ads, I either switch it off or change channel. The ads comes up everytime the commercials start rolling. Irritating like damn shit.

How the hell can they get sooo much airtime when other parties got none?
We already had freedom? My arse…

By the way, the song below should be graded as one of the patriotic songs that we once sang during schools assemblies.

Probably the only song that we will sing proudly apart from national and state anthem.

Just Change

The DAP Ceramah and rally at Han Jiang High School is humungous. Humungous as in 60,000 (size of Man U’s Old Trafford) people were there. And to make it looked more like a football match supporters storming the ground, waves of red and white (DAP’s colour) covered the ground. The candidates are really like artistes performing concerts, only that this is free of charge.

With the “big people” of DAP including Lim Kit Siang, his son Lim Guan Eng, Karpal Singh and blogger Jeff Ooi in the scene, there is no doubt the crowd literally gone wild. It is also my first time seeing Jeff Ooi in person and shook his hand.

While the ceramah is going on, rain started to pour down. Normally, people will run helter-skelter for cover, but this is no normal situation. 60 thousand people just won’t budge and the atmosphere was still as great. With two Uncle Lims, Singh and several others barraging the issues of Malaysia and with Jeff Ooi singing (hecan sing and play the guitar!), taunting the BN candidates, especially our worthy CM, Koh Tsu Koon, rounds and rounds of applause are given to them.

A rock concert? A fashion show? No, its DAP Ceramah.
Just look at the crowd. Period.
Courtesy of TV Smith

Jeff Ooi can rock!
Courtesy of Oon Yeoh

60, 000 people. RM123, 000 on-site donations. It ain’t some joke bullshit that we are talking here. The people of Penang is rallying for Change. Let’s hope it will be reflected in the voting period.

The Game Plan

Two days ago, I woke up, sat down in front of the screen, clicked Firefox and typed "Starcraft download".

Ten hours later, I was happily playing the game. Addicted, sort of.

Somehow, I missed the game and was feeling so urging to play all over again. I don't know why.

Apparently, for the past few days, I've been visiting the Starcraft 2 website. The intro trailer just blew me away.

And the artwork trailer....

Ain't the music sounds grand?
Very Star War-ish tho.

Because it is still a "coming soon" product, I will like to refresh my self with the first installment. Plus, I used to play with cheats, every game that is. I am not proud of it. I was still immature and very kiasu at the time k?

Oh well, time to go gun-totting around.

Zhai Zhuan Bian, Tou Huo Jian

While on the way for a job interview in Georgetown, I came across various banners similar to the one below:

Literally "Keep reinventing, vote rocket".
Courtesy of "Screenshots"

Note that, the above is from Parti Gerakan and the below, DAP.

I must admit that I am laughing my ass out at the strategy. In Sunzi's Art of War, its called "bian hai wei li", literally "Convert unfavourable factors into favourable ones".

Whats more, it rhymes.
The person which comes out with the "brilliant slogan" for Gerakan must be standing at the top floor of KOMTAR now.

Cina Baru Year Pt3

Day nine of CNY is always an important and eventful day for Hokkien Buddhists. Its the Jade Emperor's B'day. Oh well, nothing biggy. I just kinda like the event. Back then, it used to be us kiddies playing fire crackers and chasing around the praying altar and get scolded. Those were the days. We are all grown up and the dumb-ass authorities are cracking (mind the pun) crackers down more seriously year after year.

But then, its still fun. Pics to guide through:

The altar and the offerings

The praying begins

Preparing for.......

....the bonfire.
Its actually some money notes for heaven.

Praying for luck, prosperity and the sorts....

After the prayers, its the feast.

Me and erm..poor porkie.

Cina Baru Year Pt2

Chinese New Year is always the period that you can meet up with most of the friends which are currently scattered/exiled/becoming a refugee all over the world.

Since Day 3 of CNY, friends are making a flood of calls demanding, "Where the heck are you? Want to meet up?". Come to think again and strangely enough, I happened to meet up with friends that I met chronologically, from primary (kindy? I cant even remember anyone of them..) to secondary to college level. Practically, the conversations are pretty much the same, from "What are you doing now ah?" to "Got gf d ah?"...yada yada....

CNY is time of reunion, and reunions are almost synonymously linked to food. So, having gatherings at mamak stores, blood-sucking cafes or BBQ parties are always the norm here. It is no wonder that my "tires" are getting bigger and wider at the moment.

Meeting up and updating our databases once a year is sure a helluva tough job. Not only you have to burn your memory remembering whats, wheres and whos, it also burns your wallet (or pocket). Every damn thing had their prices hiked up and you just wonder where your money's gone so fast by the end of the day. But then again, this is not the main point.

Erhem, as I was saying, CNY is of reunions and gatherings. I am obviously glad that I still had the chance to meet some of them. Then again, they are becoming less and less amount of them coming back to Pg. So, am trying my best to appreciate the moments we have together. So appreciative that I kinda forget to take pictures with them. Bah.

Cina Baru Year Pt1

Happy Chinese Rat Year!

Nothing much changed over the years for Chinese New Year, save for angpow crisis becoming worse every year. Then again, it is always the heart-warming feeling that I appreciated all these years, especially since I had moved to KL for studies. Chinese New Year is all about reunions, friends and families, and I am glad I still had the chance to do so.

And starting with CNY Eve, the reunion dinner...

All ready for consumption.

Aunts at feast..

Another reunion spot...TV

Then, comes New Year Day One and Two, where you go to shake your fist and say Happy New Year to everybody and receive angpows for that. It was tiring because there are soo many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, aunt's mother, aunts mother punya mother blah blah blah....that I only see them almost once a year.

And then it is the usual conversations...." Wah, your son big d hoh!!" or "Your daughter pretty d lo!" or "Yours also maa!"......Oh well, courtesy is part of Chinese culture...eventho some pretty cheesy and fake.

Anyways, its glad (and surprising sometimes) to know what your relatives do and they are all well.

Next part....friend-ly activities....

CNY Message

Exams are sooo frigginly O-V-E-R. If you ask me which of these are killers papers, I would say they all are.

That aside, it is time of indulgence and relief (that is till the "redemption"-results day- comes...bah). And oh yeah, it is gonna be CNY soon. Come to think of it, it sure is fast. The last one is still fresh in my mind.

As for the coming 3 months, I will be having a long break. Not so long then if I decided to work (actually, I did decided, just dunno where XD). Then again, it is the time of the year, where I can totally spend on new clothes and got my refund back when it comes to receiving angpows. Hehe. Very commercialized concept eh?

So, Happy Chinese New Year (and all the wishes that comes to your mind) to you all!

__________________________________________________________-_-

Oh well, my future decided. So, off to what I'm best at. Going to make plans for the next 40 years. And then by the time I realized I achieved all these, I am some friggin' seasoned veteran with white (probably bald) head with numerous syndromes and diseases occupying my body.

My point is, they are just guidelines.

If you just curious to peep at what the future holds for you (preferred to the words "know and decide"), take a test at the link above. As for the validity of such test, I do doubt it a lil. So, don't trust completely what it is.

Civilization

A brief conversation when I was sitting at a mamak store 14 feet level under my KL home:

Mamak: (saw a guy who is dirtying the floor with his smoke ashes) Here's the ash tray.
Guy: (look at the mamak for 2 secs) What? I don't think need this.
Mamak: (stare at the floor and him confused)
Guy: You know why ah? I need you to clean this up for me later. Ash on the floor cannot ah? You sweep la!
Mamak: (pissed and walk away)

It shows that in this so-often-called- the civilized world, there are still beings that were stuck between the boundaries of beast and human. If it wasn't a civilized world that me and my friends realized that we are in, he would be clubbed to death in two minutes.

2008 A.D.

I know that the previous said that got "gonna post pics here"...but my ever draggy friend delayed...maybe the next post la...or the next...or next....zzz

Anyway, its new year. And I know what you are thinking about. Nope. No resolutions. Coz it doesn't work. It reminds you of being a failure, or at least just me. Heh.

Started the new year with a bang. Bang as in assignments, presentations and the coming-to-cinemas-near-you-sort-of-countdown for exams. And then I suddenly realize that it is Week 13...no, wait, end of Week 13!! Crap. I really should be worried, but I'm not. Perhaps being a last-minute veteran contributes. The last-minute concept sure does do wonders, you know? It's like steroid to body builders. And that makes me sound like some drug addict.

Anyway, enough blah blahs. Just wishing everybody Happy New Year and Tarcians lucks in exams.

Bridge & Prologue

Hello. After playing MIA for most of this sem, me back now. It is a busy sem and nothing really special happened along the way. Hence the not-so-long-lah-hiatus. Probably joined the writers guild's strike in the US.

Semester's gonna end and at a furious, turbo-powered speed. Assignments and presentations just sucked your soul out like the Death Eaters Dementors of Harry Potter series.

Then there is a break. I don't care what you call it. Skipping classes for once a year is of almost squeaky clean record. The point is... I needed one.

So I am/was back in Penang (depends when you read this post), for Christmas. A break. Relaxing and having fun.

How fun, you asked. Maybe the pics for the next post will tell. Hehe. Trailer maa.

Till then, I just want to live.

Blardy Virus

Movie and series themes are so into the infection hype nowadays. Suddenly, fictional diseases are everywhere, infecting everyone and then, the heroes (the most common explanation of these people is that they are immune, every single one of them) came about slashing and gun-totting all those who are f*cked-up by the virus. Basic protocol.

Among them:

Resident Evil

The current trilogy is focus on the -turn-you-into-zombie-T-virus. By the time of the third installment, zombies are lurking every single corner of the deserted world, leaving a few pathetic hopeless humans defending themselves. Didn't mind Milla/Alice on killing spree tho. Ooo. Hot.

28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later

Here, the so-called Rage Virus reigns, turning people into blood-spewing zombies (again). Same consequences (deserted London, infected people). Similar heroes (they just can't die, can they?).

Heroes

Even the popular TV Series caught up with the disease. Season 2 is currently focusing into a virus with a cute name. Shanti virus is spreading at its initial stage. Peter saw the aftermath tho. And as the series title suggest, guess who are fighting them?

Peter: Er....so is this the T-virus, Rage or Shanti? I'm confused......

And there is also Outbreak, Twelve Monkeys, Virus (Japan) and to certain extend, Blade.
And so on and so forth.

Swimming and Sex Don't Match, Mind You...

The bed is where couples make out and a place where every single part of the body is touched sensitively and where cheesy romantic I-Love-Yous are expressed to each other.

The swimming pool is where people go for a swim. Full stop.

But some just don't know which setting they are suppose to be when it comes to the make-out part.

I don't oppose public affections and I am definitely not jealous.

But if somebody is doing it right in front of your lane and obstructing and diverting your attention at the same time and don't even care to notice, it will be a different story right?

So what did I do?

I pulled off my goggles, showed them my pissed off face, showed them my middle finger X2 and tell them to "fuck off and get a room!"

I am sorry. Wrong transmission from my brain to the hand.

In fact, actually I DO want to do that, its just the, erhem, very very polite and angelic me is telling me to smile and say "Excuse me. Thanks. Have a nice day. And oh I recommended safe sex. And go girl, get laid. Way to go dude. Pfftt."

Somehow, judging by the way they are smothering each other, I felt that they are going to pollute the pool anytime soon.

Of course, the obvious action, or rather reaction, is to get off the pool immediately.

And yes, they definitely need a room. Another day ruined. Thanks, you pathetic and desperate bastards.

Online and Cruising

I am back. Back to the usual ways of sitting in front of my personal desktop, cruising and serving through the internet at my own pace, relieved of the hectic and will-make-u-deaf-shouts-and-curses CC atmosphere that had been haunting me for the past few months in KL. I am so back.

And for now, for nooww, I would like to thank iZZinet for that. Yes, for now.

Because they supply you with internet connection immediately right after you subscribe (and of course paid a hefty amount of cash). It is so immediate that I hardly believe that I was returning back to electronic civilization once again. As for suckmyx, why bother.

Lately, alternatives for broadband internet had been booming like mushrooms in M'sia. It is just that many of us that are ignorant of it and probably the infinite blinding amount of ads by TM that causes them to monopoly the internet sector.

And it is time to look beyond and change.

Apart from iZZi, 3G technology is becoming popular here, with the mobile operators here offering much choices, but of course with limited access here and there. Then, there is are some companies like Jaring and Time, which provide similar services, albeit, yet again, limited access.
And so on, so on blah blah blah. Point is, just browse around and we can find these options available and consider the best for your area of access.

To further know what is good for you, it is always advisable to read and post questions in forums. It serves the information that we need to know, instead of just being influenced by the sometimes exaggerated and tempting promotion that the salesperson offered.

Back to iZZi, it is a good, if not better, alternative to Streamyx. Considerable speed, 1.0Mbps (of course it's on best effort policy), claimed to be throttle-free for downloading and stable connections (prior to this blog). The major roadblock is definitely the paying system, which they require customers to pay 12 months upfront.

Apart from the mess-up part, it can be considered if you are frustrated with the very "stable" connection of wired broadband service or simply waiting too long to get the service or you are living too high up to get 3G mobile broadband.

Please note this is no advertisement or being overly-critical, just giving my two cents. Will update to give more feedback on this.

Kill Time Stories

Boring la....

Most of the time here, I was killing off my arse's cells by gluing it on a hard wooden chair. Bad choice I know. But there is seriously nothing I can do about. Most of my friends just went "poofed". I can't play football. And I am demoted to this particular chair most of the time. Boohoohoo.

And so I begin my series and movies killing spree.

Starting the list is the notorious Prison Break Season 3

Intertitle of PB S3. Looking through the fence is Penitenciaria Federal de Sona.

Season 3 started off where the oh-so-draggy Season 2 left off. And the tinkerman Scofield is once again in prison, albeit a worse one. In Sona, it is a very merdeka place, meaning that it is self-governed by the thugs inside there, which at the very top of the hierachy is usually the Tai Lou, or the Boss. And it makes Season 1's Fox River looks like a 5-star hotel practically. As the name title suggested, Scofield is once again trying to break the prison. Guess they need to have a Guinness World Record for Most Prison Breaks for One Man to honour his achievement. With a not-so-new theme (breaking the prison, duh), new characters (Susan the Company Girl is hot!) and a slightly new theme song (more Latin-ish), I am not expecting something as draggy as Season 2.

Next on the list is the highly anticipated Heroes, in Season 2.

Wah..another eclipse?

Apparently, Sylar is not dead. Whatsmore, he's been promoted to the main cast. Guess evil people don't die so fast eh? So is Claire Bennett, or Petrelli, or recently-being-named Butler. No matter what her surname is now, glad she is still alive. XD. Apart from that, everybody else is suddenly getting busy four months after the major event in Season One. *Spoilers ahead* Nathan is busy getting drunk. Hiro is busy getting irritating. Noah and Claire are busy hiding. Kaito is busy getting killed. Matt Hear-Me-Out is busy getting promotion and Peter is busy getting naked. *spoilers ended here*. So get busy watching Heroes.

Meanwhile, I am anticipating for series such as 24, House, Bones and Supernatural. I needed those dose. Somebody offer me those please.

Apart from series, movies are also part of my life now. As a Malaysian, I have to expect that a whole damn bunch of movies are i)not going to land here anytime soon due to the national censorship's violence-boleh, kissing-a-big-no-no policy ii) going to show, but I am impatient and iii)already having trailers here, but seem to not to be shown anytime. But thanks to the Internet (you know where la to download), we are able to get those stuffs that are prohibited or heavily censored here.

Cashback is one that falls in category i). Personally, I think it is a nice love story with daring appearance of nudity here and there but not everywhere in the movie. But hey, it is nothing near to porn. Plus, it is a story about a painter. So the naked scenes can be the excuse/reason/inspiration as a form of art.

Apart from that, I recommended 1408, Sunshine, and Reign Over Me. 1408's a thriller which is horrific at the same time, Sunshine's a science fiction which is horrific at the same time, Reign Over Me's a drama which is not-at-all-horrific at the same time. But, what they share, personally, is their good plot and flowing storyline. So they are worth watching if you are stuck in your pitiful chair.

Of Special One and Footie

The hype of football this week is of course the dismissal of the "Special One". Jose Mourinho is special in many ways, not only of his tactical superiority on the field, but also his cockiness while having press conferences. To non-Chelsea supporters, he is the "Arrogant One".

The former "Special One", now the "Dismissed Through Mutual Consent One"

Off the pitch, his brawl with owner Roman had already hinted his fate. Though with talent, politics still played an important role on his departure, added by the excuse of the recent "disappointing" results. And now, Chelsea will be under the vulture-face unknown and uncredited Avram Grant, who lost to Man U on his first charge of the game. Predictable anyway, given that the they lost their Special One. Jose must be laughing his ass out on his heir.

Elsewhere, Liverpool show that their same old demeanor, with yet another boring draw. Somehow they think that they can claim glory by keeping their goal clean, instead of winning the game. Arsenal made their priorities right, with five goals overpowering doomed Derby, and adding the icing above their cake, their players are so young that their average age is well below 25, with the oldest player aging only 27, on that particular day. And I know that my cousin brother is smiling all the way.

Young and talented.

Abroad, Barcelona show why they are a talented bunch with victories over Lyon and Sevilla. Arch rival Real Madrid looses tempo with draw over promoted Valladolid. In Italy, all is peaceful as draws are the results for the top-teams.

Lastly, a farewell, once again, to Jose. Will miss your exaggerated quotes.

AD

Stands for Advanced Diploma. And it ain't easy.

Having five subjects is already tough by standards. And be it a coincidence, it has to be us, the 07/08 badge to be the historically first ever group to have English for Management in Advanced Diploma Level. Prior to this, we are already the first-ever for many things. First-ever to take PTS. First-ever to have Science in UPSR. First-ever to have crappy Literatures in PMR. First-Ever to have our SPM format nipped and tucked. And now this....Guess I (and many more others) are the world's finest guinea piggies to be tested at.

And now, my course got 6 subs to tackle with. And what makes me pig-dicked is of course the English subject. Who the hell still thinks that learning ABC is still needed in Advanced Diploma?

Two things I hated English in TARC is one..they are absolutely a waste of time, energy and money. EMSD had to admit that they do not provide quality English teachers with interesting topics for the subjects, which leads to the second reason....they have the tendency to set the standards so friggin' high, that people in the range of B is the majority. What? TARC students are really that bad huh? Do note I have friends who scored A1 in 1119 English and English being their primary speaking language getting B. Beyond imagination.

Enough rantings there. Subs that I had are Cognitive Psych., Politics and the Media, Theories of Personality, Research Methods in Behavioral Science (or whatever), useless English for Management and Pendidikan Moral (another dumbass subject).

Cog. Psy.
Its the usual lecturer with calibre (Miss Aggy Hooi), so it is interesting and informative as usual. Nothing special here. Just that psychology has become very abstract here, which is a lil' bit hard to do catch up if missed classes.

Politics and Media
Not of our field. And definitely a sucker, if not armed with background knowledge of Malaysian politics (shout out to the girls in my class, XD). It wasn't that bad, and it opens up your eye to the dirtiest place in Malaysia( and any part of the world).

Theories of Personality
Complicated and complex subject with a weirdo lecturer, with respect. "It is always advisable to be nice to first time lecturers, and not to expect too much from them" is the advice that we are suppose to go by. But by the end of the day, we made evaluations no matter how, and pitifully she was to be awarded the worst lecturer we got so far. Round of applause please. Claimed to have done public speaking and is supervisor-phobic ("Please stay in the class room, I know that we still got 30 minutes left, but if I let you guys go, the supervisor will know." Little did she know of stuff called evaluation forms.), got heart-attack when asked relevant but difficult questions and beats around the bush all the time. Overall, a subject doomed.

Research Methods.
As usual, statistics, reliability, validity, experiment, bias and charts comes to mind.

English for Management (see above comment)

Moral dan Etika
Pointless subject, but amazingly with a good lecturer.

Result wise, getting 3.5 will be priceless.

Graduation

I'm awake, I'm awake....after all these centuries...I am with an internet connection which is private enough and with a helluva time to bother with, albeit at home back at Penang.

The line that I registered 3 months back at KL? No sign o those bloody suckmyx mother f*ckers putting an effort to call me for installation....

Anyway, it is nice to be back in the rather chilling comfy sit back at home shweet home... its raining almost continuously out there and I have no plans to remove my stuck arse out of my chair....so here I am ready to blah blah blah about my dull boring life during the past, say, 3 months....

Couple of months ago, I attended my convo at TAR College.....and come to think o it...I graduated...that was fast for 2 years ya know...now i am a qualified counselor....

Here are some o the pics....

Coursemates and me.....with then-fresh flowers..

Meet the parents (and sis) pic...

I was busy attending other's photo sessions, that I forgot to camwhore myself that day...XD...

And boy, I graduated...whatever...XD

Hiatus

To actually dedicate my centurion post to a hiatus was absolutely degradable.

But due to the circumstances, this is waht it is gonna be.
And that is thanks to the fucked-up TM management and its useless system. I DO actually wanted to bomb-up the non sensible booths that is everywhere outside the college.

Anyways, some updates....

-In Advance Dip. now. Psychology.

-Got my first C grade for diploma. An idiotic subject. Makes no sense. And that probably cost my chances for a scholarship. Pig dicked.

-Graduate with distinction. XD. Parents forced me to go for convo. =.=

-Living in Plaza Prima Setapak now. Nice place.

-Miss hostel. Not really the place. But the people there.

-Have not touched down in KLCC or any other shopping malls for the past 2 months. Pathetic I know.

-Ate more than ever. Suspecting second season of puberty.

-Thinking of Penang.

-Still single. *shakes head*

To sit in the CC and update a blog was not the sanest thing to do. Thus, the hiatus.
Will have to wait for the Suckmyx to come.

Final Score

Being the loosing side, its hard to compose this post...

While stronger than the 2005 squad, Liverpool still can't get past a bunch of old nasty looking mafias of Milan. It does make you question whether they are using the right tactics against a side who has now claimed its 7th European Cup.

The bunch of mafias....don't they look like one?

Alrite, alrite. From a neutral perspective, they did deserve to win, simply because they are the better team on the pitch. Defence are good, Gattuso snarling as usual, Kaka (the only bloke that does not fit in the Mafia-lookalikes team) creating beautiful chances and most important of all, Inzaghi scoring the goals, both. You look at it, and it seems to be a pretty organized team, which explains the cup.

As for Liverpool, sweeping some of the ineffective players and bringing new effective ones are essential if they want to win anything next season.

Till then, its summer hols for footie.

Aye, Captain!

Yohoho....Pirates are back..and after watching all the trailers, it sure consist a big bunch of them.
Pirates lords they called, and their crews. And of course, the Captain is back. Aye!

Spooky Jack Sparrow...

This time around, as the story goes, Barbossa is going to save Sparrow, with lovebirds Swan and Turner getting cheesy once again on screen. Beckett and Davy Jones wants to eliminate the pirates through East India Trading Company. Sparrow and Barbossa gather all the king's men..sorry..pirates from the seven seas to counter back. Simple huh, the plot? Maybe. Will see.

And here we go again....another summer of sequels. Next, we have Shrek 3. Then, Harry Potter. Then, Mr. Bourne. Then, Rush Hour 3. Also starring Spidey 3....guess Hollywood ran out of ideas, but nevertheless, will enjoy it.

__________________________________________________________________

And speaking of captains, two of them will lead their teams into The European Champions League Final in Athens. Gerrard and Maldini preparing their team for a showdown since the miraculous final in Istanbul 2 years ago.

Milan wants revenge. Liverpool wants another miracle. It is setting up so nicely. Two of the most prestigious clubs battling, yet again in 2 years, for glory.

Another miracle? Or vengeance? Can't wait.

And as a Reds fan, I would say....Go grab the cup and shut Gattusso's mouth once and for all.

Dislocated

Just as I was going to execute my plan for a fit holiday. It came to a halt....

......with this.

And a big halt it is.

A dislocated knee. Hah!

It just took a split second. A sprint with the ball and a supposed-to-be-deceiving act of changing the direction was all it took to got my knee into the above condition. Guess the receptors were slow there.

When analyzing the scenario after that (which you don't do when you are in immense pain during that moment), the ankle seems to play a bit-part role in causing the dislocation. Note that the ankle and the knee is linked through like this...

...and according to the pic, it does makes sense that both the knee and the ankle signed a deal to make my hols miserable.

I went for bone-setting by this Si-fu who had been essential in treating all my previous fractures (its called tie ta in Mandarin). It was a painful process. Least to say, it was torturous. The sifu just push to my limits where I can't really bent my already cacat-ed knees. In the end, I was left panting for breath and struggling to sense my leg.

And its all just because of a sprint and a change of direction, or was it misdirection?

Currently, I am able to walk, or rather, limp. Without crutches but with all those guards that you can find in Guardian. I felt so overly-protected.

Then again, for the sake of being able to walk properly again, I would do anything.

And I am considering "retirement" from football.

Hiros

This is Masi Oka from Heroes as Hiro Nakamura

At the centre, is my friend Vince....

As Hiro wants to bend time and space, he did this...

And just so you think he's the only one who can do that...

Holly COW! Exactly the SAME!! No?

Heroes

It's just amazing to think that a certain series that based it's theme on something that has been through ages can provide such an addictive dose in our lives.

Heroes...ain't that simple enough for a title? Dozens of movies, songs, music and TV shows had the equivalent name. And it shared similar theme with other shows such as X-Men and Mutant X. Having said that, the question is..why the series is causing an euphoria throughout the world?

Title card of Heroes.

It's a special series because it has Hayden Panettiere in it the story is in arcs (overall and small), which involves ordinary people discovering amazing abilities and their reaction to it....

.....aiya, does that make sense?

Actually, the show's addictive because at the end of every episode it shows the phrase "To Be Continued..." and you will be like, "Oi, wtf? Finish d ah? 45 minutes d meh?"

Ordinary people with amazing abilities....more like
Beautiful people with I-so-want-that-power-too abilites

I was skeptical when my friend introduce me the series like, "Dude, you watch "heroes"? You want ah?"

"Huh? Nice meh? Is it another show with superheroes flying around with weird, body-hugging, panties-outside costumes?"

" You just watch la. Nah, all inside this DVD.."

Since then, my world is so changed....

Hayden as Claire....I like. XD

And to think that I am just less than one week away from the season finale with the previous episode's cliffhanger and various previews and sneak peaks and teasers reminding me almost every moment, its torturous.

Just so that you haven't been catching up, I strongly recommended this series. Its so gonna hook you up, promised.

Please watch us show our abilities!

Naili's

The moment stepping inside this place, I knew I am going to love this place. It isn't some typical warung, though their origin was one. It might looked like a rundown place if you do not really sending your visual sensation into your perception, but if you really focus, you know this a place that is not something simple.

The entrance

According to legend, it was originally a stall owned by two people selling nasi lemak and ubi rebus. Seven years on, they already have a restaurant so nicely decorated and furnished that you don't really can't imagine how their stall looked like 7 years ago.

Today, apart from the original stuff, they offered both Eastern and Western cuisines. Ranging from nasi gorengs to koey teows and to Fish N' Chips, it was amazing to think the achievement they worked for.

A blurred image of a sampan right inside the place.

The kampung-ish setting of seatings.

The whole place is practically kampung and beach themed. The wooden pondoks, bamboos (?), sampan's, surfing boards, carving arts. It gives a pleasurable and serene type of atmosphere for everyone dining there, in addition to soothing music of course.

As for the food, I haven't tried much, but would say that their food are crave-fulfilling. Not really heaven-like, just manageable to suit its atmosphere.

Western
or Local

It was a promising place for yam cha session, only that to maintain such "wealthy lifestyle" is a suicide attempt in finance management.

Verdict:
Worth trying out.
Food: Can eat la.
Atmosphere & Settings: Top notch
Serving time: Not in the Tortoise speed category.
Price: walan yea expensive....for a student like me that is.

Twenty

Its almost ten thousand years ago since I update the blog. And gosh, I've passed so many milestones during my absence.

For instance, my birthday almost one month ago.

And now...I am no teen anymore.

No big deal here. It's just age. Something that we will not loose, unlike money. In fact, it will just add, instead of deduct.

And here comes 20, they say. Old liao lo, no more teen liao lo, one more year can go Genting casino liao lo, one more year can go in Zouk liao lo.....yada...

Honestly, not into those stuff.

Anyway, I would like to thank my coursemates and hostelmates and any other friends and relatives for reminding how old I am already. The two cakes that I got was incredibly delicious. And thanks for the multi-lingual b'day songs that probably rung in my head the whole night after hearing it for 3 hours per day.

And my b'day wish? Secret la, tak boleh tell.

In fact, I was so busy swinging from mamaks to cafes that I forgot to note such memories in my camera. So no pics here. Just appreciations. 'Nuf I guess.

Will definitely update blogs often from now....if I am motivated enough.
Promise that.
